Beating the British Army: The 1991 Record That Shocked the World

In 1991, we faced our greatest challenge yet - not just circumnavigating the globe again, but doing it faster than the British Army team that held the existing record. What followed was 39 days, 20 hours, and 15 minutes of the most intense driving, planning, and determination of our lives.

The Challenge

The British Army had set a formidable benchmark. Their team was well-funded, had military precision, extensive support networks, and years of tactical planning. They were professionals trained for exactly this kind of operation.

We were two adventurers from Kolkata with a dream, a reliable car, and an unshakeable belief in ourselves.
